Booking Meeting Rooms In Leicester

By:

Meeting rooms in Leicester are booked throughout the year the city is a thriving centre of business and commerce, with the largest population of any East Midlands town. As it was once an ancient Roman settlement with a dramatic position on the River Soar, Leicesters rich cultural heritage and vibrant arts calendar make it a magnet for recreational visitors too. The ideal hotel then, is one blending both leisure and business facilities in one environment. We at Holiday Inn Meetings are one such venue.

Meeting rooms in Leicester are not only booked by companies. Charities and not-for-profit organisations use them too. Our Holiday Inn meetings venue is particularly well suited for historical or educational groups, as it is surrounded by numerous cultural landmarks - the oldest and nearest being the Jewry Wall Museum. With free admission, this stunning building charts Leicesters history from prehistoric times onwards. The Jewry Wall in the grounds is actually part of a Roman Baths, and thought to be one of the tallest Roman ruins in the UK.

This meeting room venue has an enviable position close to the river - and close to Bow Bridge, the site where the body of Richard lll was brought back to Leicester, following his death on Bosworth Field. The present-day bridge dates from the 1860s, the original mediaeval bridge having been demolished.
A fanciful Victorian plaque states: Near this spot lie the remains of Richard lll, the last of the Plantagenets. However, it is one of the great mysteries of our age that no-one knows where Richard llls body ended up. His last known resting place was Greyfriars Priory, but that was destroyed with the dissolution of the monasteries. Some say Richards body was dug up and thrown in the river. However, local historians now agree it probably remained where it was buried. Unfortunately, we will never know for sure, as the priory now lies under the New Street car park - a small stretch of 14th century masonry is all that remains. The nearby Castle Gardens offer further tantalising remnants of the citys mediaeval past.
Whether its a prestigious meeting or a company promotional shoot, we at Holiday Inn Meetings have some stunning locations right on our doorstep. However, youre going to want something good to eat afterwards, and here we can provide again. Our Simply Uplifting menu offers good quality, nutritious cuisine ranging from light salads to hearty roasts. Everything is freshly cooked and prepared from fresh ingredients, ensuring alertness and concentration no matter how long the meeting goes on for. This is enhanced by natural lighting and air conditioning in all the rooms.

Companies booking meeting rooms in Leicester vary greatly in their needs and the number of delegates they have, so the best hotels are those with a variety of rooms and services. We at Holiday Inn offer no fewer than 13 conference suites in Leicester. Both overnight and 8 hour delegate packages are available, and dedicated meetings hosts are assigned to our clients to ensure you want for nothing during your time here.
