This is good for when you're going to a city with an event going on and you need to see if there's anything available close by to your final destination. In addition to being able to compare costs and amenities, you can make all of your reservations.

You can compare what every room looks like and sometimes you can even compare the views that you would get from each room. This is mostly important when you happen to be booking a room for vacation and it may perhaps be in a scenic area. Also, these hotel chains will often charge more depending on what the view is, and if it doesn't matter to you, then you can see what the difference is ahead of time.

Being able to do things ahead of time is very convenient because you're not in store to have any surprises. Surprises are no fun when it comes to a trip. You want to be sure that you have everything done ahead of time and that there are no complications and nothing left up to chance. The last thing you ever want when going on a trip is to leave something up to chance and just take care of it when it comes up.
