Based in the heart of the city centre, Re Nu Body Clinic is owned by Harley Street trained practitioner, Bianca Simpson, who with over five years experience in medical aesthetics, is expertly placed to offer a wide range of treatments.
Uniquely, Bianca, who is originally from London but now living in Birmingham, is also a specialist in treating black and Asian skin.
" People with dark skin often think that they can't benefit from treatments like chemical peels and skin rejuvenation as they are prone to conditions like melanasma or hyper pigmentation which is normally due to a hormone imbalance or sun exposure," she said.
"At the Re-Nu Body Clinic we are trained to treat all skin types, our most popular treatments are chemical peels and laser hair removal. Initially we analyse the client's skin under special lights and we can then prescribe the right treatment.
Chemical peels range from superficial, medium and deep, the latter treating acne scars and sun damage.
Patients report very mild discomfort or a tingling sensation during the procedure but it doesn't hurt.
"Normally clients follow a course of treatments for maximum benefit with prices from 350 for a course of six treatments."
Despite only throwing its doors open to the public this summer, the Re Nu Body Clinic has reported brisk trade with forty per cent of business attributed to men.
Bianca, who is the clinical director, believes clients are actually quite surprised to find a clinic in such a discreet location.
"Usually when clients find us, they are quite relieved and pleased," she said.
"Men tend to go for laser hair removal on chests and backs as well as laser teeth whitening."
