Occasionally in life, by the time we think back and realise what friends have done for us, it's too late. Respecting others would be to hold the door open for anyone you meet in future, and offering to return the compliment by getting the person a coffee yourself next time. Saying 'Thank You' to people in your everyday life, and being aware of it, is a GREAT way to make you notice the things in life you have to be thankful for.

4) Offer a Helping Hand.

Often, the best gratitude you can show a person is in offering a helping hand with whatever they're doing. Whether cooking or cleaning, this action will speak volumes as you help them to show how much you really care for them and appreciate them.

5) Give People Your Precious Time.

Whether it's your elderly parents or grandparents, sibling, friend or work associate - one of the best ways to show your appreciation of them is to simply listen. Give them the time, uninterrupted, to hear what they have to say. Really listen - don't sit looking at them waiting to speak - LISTEN. Show some care and understanding.
