3.The third step is to cut the wood according to the measurements taken. Make sure that the wood is cut one inch more in length and width than the actual window size.

4.Next is the drilling. Drill pot holes at the exact places and according to the measurements. This will help you to place the wood without any difficulty.

5.If needed you can also install window clips. This is especially needed if the house is made of brick or masonry.

6.Place the wood on the window and tighten the clip. Make sure it's tight enough to hold the wood firm on the window.
