BMW used cars like the 7 series is the German automakers flag ship model for luxury sedans. Back in 2001 BMW unveiled a new redesign 7 series model and this was a big hit with wealthy consumers all over the world. These vehicles have all the whistles & bells and this makes this model very expensive to buy new here in Canada. The 7 series even to buy used in Canada can be expensive and this makes all the more sense to look for a used one in America. BMW 7 Series Used Cars:

I looked at models from 2002 to 2006 and was impressed with the interior design of this particular vehicle. There is leather and wood trim on the center console, dashboard and doors. The seats and steering wheel are all leather as well. The center console has the iDrive system and this is an easy to use screen that lets you control the various systems inside the vehicle. The speedometer and engine gauges are easy to read and the 7 Series comes standard with power steering, power windows, sunroof, am/fm radio, heating/air and a CD player just to name a few.

I have fuel statistics for the different models the 7 Series has to offer. The 2004 760Li has a fuel rating of 16.1-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 9.6-litre, per 100km, for highway driving. The 2006 750Li has a fuel of rating 13.8-litre, per 100km, for city driving and 8.7-litre, per 100km, for highway driving.

There are several different engine sizes for the various models the 7-Series has to offer. The 745i model has a V8, 4.4-litre engine and this has 325 horsepower. The 760Li model has a V12, 6.0-litre engine and this has 438 horsepower. The 750Li model has a V8, 4.8-litre engine and this produces 360 horsepower.

Lets look at the pros and cons of the BMW 7-Series as a used vehicle to buy:

1-There are no crash tests done by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway traffic organization on the 7-Series.
2-There are problems with the transmissions electronic system when first and second gear change, it seems to be rough.
3-An online consumer watch dog says the 2002; 7-Series BMW has the bad reliability as used vehicle.
