The BMW E30 was introduced as the BMW 3 series first, it was the first of the 3 series but a wide spread type of the E30 325i were then used in the BMW Z1, which was a roadster. The E30 model of the 3 series car came in different body styles; it had a two door saloon, it had a four door saloon, a five door touring, and a convertible which was two doors also. It rounded up all these different styles with a Baur cabrio. From 1988 to 1991 was produced the 325ix which is an all wheel drive available as a two- door coupe and also as a four-door sedan or a touring. The BMW 3 series (M3) had a series of redesigned varieties of the two door make of body style and the 3 series (M3) also shared some parts with other models of the BMW E30, therefore in repairs the parts of these cars can be interchanged and used one for another, this offers the consumer an upgrade in OEM, these parts that can be shared by the different models of the BMW E30 are the steering arms, control arms bushing etc.
The car has the engine which range from 1.8 to 2.7 liters with a six cylinder petrol system. The BMW M3 was given a four cylinder engine BMW S14 with the power of the engine being 175kw. The basic feature which distinguishes the BMW E30 model produced for the North Americans in the 80s are the presence of elongated front and rear bumpers which are made with aluminum.
