You will find many ways to make money online if you enjoy writing. Thousands of people earn a good income as an article writer. Starting their own blog is one of the ways they do it.

If you have a specific theme that interests you you can start your own blog and make money through Google AdSense. You can set up a blog (web blog) easily today and even choose from a variety of templates.

Give your blog a name that describes what it is about and helps it stand out. If it's about a golfing niche, perhaps you could call it "Golf on the Cheap" or "Best Golf Bargains" or something that distinguishes it from the thousands of other golf blogs.

After choosing a name you are ready to start posting articles and adding informational content. Once you've done that you are now ready to set up the AdSense program.

This is a program that places ads on your site that relates to the theme of your blog. You can enable this by going into your blogging settings template tab and finding the AdSense link.

You have no doubt seen Google AdSense ads throughout the internet on many sites. These are small ads typically found above or below or to the side of content postings.

When you go to www.google.com you will click on "Advertising" link and sign up for AdSense here. After doing that go back to your template link.

You may be wondering how you make money with this? Someone has paid Google to run these ads on sites relative to their product or service or whatever it is they're advertising. Whenever a visitor clicks on that ad you earn a commission.

You don't make a lot of money per click (on average it's 15 to 30 cents) but you don't have to do anything to earn this other than provide your blog. This is definitely one of the easy ways to make money online.

However you do need to get targeted traffic to your site that would have an interest in those products advertised. This is where being a writing expert comes into play.

You will need to prepare yourself to update and provide new content to your blog frequently. Plan on doing so at least every couple of days. You want to provide information that will encourage your readers to tune in to your site often.

In order to get your blog picked up by the search engines you'll want to mention a variety of key words throughout your various blogs which will help the search engines pick up on your blog quicker.

Your goal is to be found by as many readers as possible when they google certain word or phrases relative to your site.
