Blisters In The Mouth - Why Are They Dangerous

By:

Mouth blisters are not the most dangerous diseases of the mouth but they can be a sign for some disturbance of the immune system. They are usually located on the mucous membranes of the respiratory and the digressive system. In the mouth they usually appear on the backside of the cheeks and on or/and under the tongue. Their form is round, with red edges and yellow to white in the middle. Their size is up to several millimeters.

Theories about the origin of the mouth blisters are many but most often their occurrence is caused by a virus. In majority of people with mouth blisters are established herpes viruses in the nervous system, as the infection occurs far before the blisters. Every weakening of the immunity activates viruses-stress, toxic deposits in the cells because of poor nutrition, poor washing of fruits and vegetables.

The initial formation of the mouth blisters begins with burning pain in the mouth after intake of food and drinks with hot or sour taste. When looking in the inside of the cheeks you can see several mouth blisters and sometimes they can be under the tongue. Mouth blisters cause problems not only when eating-until the time they heal, they are open space to other bacterial and viral infections. The occurrence of chronic mouth blisters can also be a signal for changes in other systems and organs-diabetes, slack work of the liver and kidneys, sinus infections.

The use of anti-inflammatory means temporarily removes ulcers but it cannot eliminate the main cause for their emergence. There are a huge number of medical and herbal solutions, sprays and tablets for removing of the mouth blisters. But the main idea is to find out which is the real cause for their occurrence. The suppressing of the symptoms may not help healing the blisters or make them disappear forever.

You should know that the oral hygiene plays a great role for the prevention of mouth blisters. If your hygiene is poor, the chance to have blisters in the mouth is greater. And if you already have mouth blisters you should be very careful and should start some diet. Do not forget that you should brush your teeth at least twice a day-before bedtime and after breakfast. If you have blisters, you should even do it more often. Choose soft toothbrush in order not to hurt the mouth blisters. Use mouthwash that contains anti-bacterial elements-they will help you kill the microbes in the mouth and keep the mouth blisters from multiplying and enlarging. The use of dental floss is obligatory because it reaches the places between the teeth which the toothbrush cannot and removes the food residues. You should visit your dentist if you have mouth blisters-he/she will tell you what may be the cause of them.
