An American hip hop group famous worldwide, The Black Eyed Peas were unsurprisingly formed in Los Angeles, California. Composed of the rappers Taboo and apl.de.ap as well as the front man, a multi instrumentalist Will.i.am and the gorgeous female vocalist Fergie, they were able to sell an astounding 56 million records of their third album Elephunk.
Their debut single Where is the love was there breakthrough single and scored them the top place on ten music charts worldwide. Their second album Monkey Business which included the two hit singles My humps and Dont Phunk with my heart, only enhanced their reputation, gaining them ever growing global fame.
In 2009, the group also went on to dominate the world charts with major singles such as Boom Boom Pow, Meet Me Halfway and I Gotta Feeling off the album The E.N.D. Together, these three singles topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for an unprecedented time period of 30 consecutive weeks. Placing the iconic group amongst the few to ever score three number one tracks on this chart from the same album, the single Imma Be went on to subsequently top the Hot 100 chart.
Their latest album The Beginning was released in November 2010 as a continuation of their routine of releasing groundbreaking singles. The album gifted major hits such as the Time (Dirty Bit) and Just Cant Get Enough.
The group is prepared to commence their 2011 world concert tour titled The Beginning Massive Stadium comprising 34 shows. Promoting their 6th studio album, the tour will make its appearance in Paris, France on the 22nd, 24th and 25th of June 2011 at Saint-Denis.
