Binary Network Marketing - Pros And Cons Explained

By:

Binary Network marketing has been a form of multi-level business plan since the mid 1960's. Let's take a look at the pros and cons og this MLM plan. Like traditional network marketing models, the compensation plan is based on the sales of a product or service plus commissions based on the recruitment of new salespeople into the company. Distributors participating in a binary network have the potential to make as much, or as little money as they are willing to work for.

Binary network marketing is based on a system of twos. An individual signs on to become a distributor for a company. That distributor then recruits two new people into their network. They are each assigned as their own business center. Those two people recruit two people, and those four recruit eight, and so on. The key to binary network marketing is balance. As the original distributor signs on more team members, he places those team members in one of the original two centers. Compensation is based upon the performance of the weakest center, therefore it is necessary for the distributor to always be balancing the team, and ensuring that everyone is working together to secure the highest commissions possible.

Binary network marketing succeeds because of teamwork. When everyone in the network is all working together to ensure high productivity, everyone benefits. Conversely, when one arm of the team is slacking, everyone suffers. Whereas in traditional network marketing models, compensation is a result of individual efforts, a binary team can only succeed if everyone is pulling his or her own weight.

Companies who work with a binary model tend to pay more in commission than companies who use a more traditional MLM compensation plan. This is not because their plan is better, but these companies tend to have better training programs. Not only that, but team members are held more accountable for their productivity, as their actions directly affect the compensation of others, as well as themselves. Another benefit of binary network marketing is that sales over minimum requirements can be stored and carried over into future pay cycles, unlike other plans where the sales volume is reset to zero at the end of each pay period, forcing the individual to start each month from scratch.

Many people are afraid to join a network marketing company because they are afraid of being sucked into a pyramid scheme or being scammed out of money. Before joining any network, it is important to do due diligence and research the company, it's history, and its business practices. The rule of thumb in the industry is that any company that has been in business (and made a profit) for more than five years is stable enough to consider a good opportunity. Network marketing is a legitimate business model, and most people who have failed or been scammed either did not do proper research before getting involved, invested more money up front than they should have, or did not put in the man hours to sell products and recruit new team members.

Binary network marketing and other MLM models have provided a way for many people to achieve their financial goals. But success does not come without work, and whether you enter part time or full time, you must work at your business every single day in order to succeed.
