Another interesting health benefit that you would get in a Mediterranean diet is the reduced symptoms of an allergic attack. This means that the Mediterranean diet can decrease the side effects or symptoms of an allergy.

Case in point: a study in 2007 showed that kids who live in Greece (obviously, taking the Mediterranean diet) arent showing as much symptoms of allergies as compared to kids who lived in the UK.

According to this study, the Mediterranean diet contains ingredient or is made up of dishes that has an innate and natural protective factors that halts the allergy symptoms from showing up.
