Bett Homes Helps House Buyers Make Their Move In County Durham

By:

House buyers looking for new homes in County Durham will find plenty of choice in Bett Homes' portfolio for the region - and could even enjoy living mortgage-free for a whole year if they move in before Christmas.

All Bett homes come with a ten-year NHBC warranty for complete peace of mind, and for buyers with an existing house to sell, the housebuilder is also offering a full-value part exchange scheme to help smooth the move.

North of Durham

Just outside the up-and-coming former colliery town of Stanley, Bett Homes has two new developments. The town itself is conveniently situated between Newcastle and Gateshead to the North, and Durham to the south, and is home to a number of primary schools and three secondary schools. Stanley offers residents an excellent range of everyday facilities including a leisure centre, an arts centre, a weekly market, local doctor's and dentist's surgeries, a post office, and plenty of high street shops - while The Metro Centre, Europe's largest shopping and leisure complex, is only about eight miles away.

Set in a picturesque, semi-rural location just outside of Stanley, Derwent View is made up of a collection of three and four-bedroom homes from £134,995 to £144,995. In the former mining village of Catchgate, Horizon is made up of three- and four-bedroom detached homes set in a conservation area on the edge of moorland. With excellent road links to the area's major towns and cities, the village has good local amenities, with Stanley less than two miles away.

Near the town of Houghton-le-Spring, Pemberton Walk will appeal to couples and families who want to live in a semi-rural location yet close to the cathedral city of Durham (seven miles away) and Sunderland (six miles away). With village amenities on its doorstep and good road and rail links, Pemberton Walk has a selection of two- and three-bedroom homes from £144,995 to £184,995.

South of Durham

Another rural option is Lynas Place in the sought-after village of Evenwood, situated southwest of the market town of Bishop Auckland. Set in the picturesque Wear Valley, this development is made up of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £87,995 to £154,995. Lynas Place combines an idyllic location with the convenience of having a bustling market town nearby with a good range of shops, schools, supermarkets, cafés and other local amenities. Nearby, Hamsterley Forest has some great walking and cycling trails, while residents can easily travel to the much larger towns of Durham (17 miles) or Darlington (13 miles) for a wider choice of attractions.

And one of the latest new developments in County Durham from Bett Homes is Rushyford Park, just a few miles east of Bishop Auckland. This site has yet to get its official launch but will offer a selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes homes, with prices yet to be released, set in the former mining village of Chilton - now a thriving residential suburb with schools, good local amenities, and excellent road links.
