Washington D.C., The Nations Capitol, is truly a place to find all the monuments and memorials you could ever want to photograph. The history of the United States is captured in stone in the city. All of these memorials are well lit at night and most have open access. This is being mentioned, because you can truly get some great shots underneath the moonlight. A nighttime photograph does not have the same feel or tell the same story as one made in the harshness of day. Photographing the sights and sounds of the people around these memorials can be as interesting as the memorials themselves.
