Bern Helmets Capitalize On Technology And Innovation

By:

Bern Helmets are creating a continuous impression on the extreme sports industry. From biking to snurfing, Bern is developing a line of head protections that are versatile, good looking, and most importantly, durable.

Bern is a relatively new company in the safety industry, but their focus on innovation across all aggressive sports has rapidly begun to make an impression. Their most unique creation yet is manufacturing helmets that work well for any sport, regardless of the conditions. For example, their Macon helmet could be utilized in the mountain bike trails in the summer, as well as snurfing in the Winter. All you need to do, is to swap out the liner in the helmet. It's Awesome! Now you don't have to get a new helmet for every sport. Just swap out the liners. That's it.

In addition to the diverse performance of the helmets, Bern has also re examined the way that helmets sit on your head. In all, there are three styles of helmets in a few different models based on the Zip Mold, the Hard Hat with Brock foam, and the EPS. The Zip Mold helmets focus on being super light. In this style, there are the Berkeley and the Brentwood helmets. To create a low weight, these helmets have a a softer than average shell, which receives higher force on collision than hard shell helmets. These helmets will crack and deform when it's hit really hard. That doesn't sound right, does it? Well really, it is, the reason that the helmet breaks is because the helmet withstands a ton of impact. This results in your brain obtaining a total increase in protection. Just another great idea from Bern.

The EPS fit is short for Expanded Polystyrene. All this is, is a scientific term suggesting "really high impact foam." beyond protection, one of the bonuses of the EPS style, is that the high impact foam allows the helmet to utilize a thinner shell. The product is a light helmet, and consequently, added comfort. The EPS fit is made in almost every style, including the Muse, Watts, Brighton, Lenox. Each one of these helmets comes with light weight, and unbeatable safety.

The Hard Hat style includes Brock foam, which uses a lower density and permits air to move through the foam, providing a super comfy and airy helmet. When Bern uses the Brock foam, they uses a wider, ABS shell on the Hard Hats, to provide a little extra protection. You should know though, that while this helmet is very comfortable and gives a a good deal of protection, it fails to meet the same safety ratings as Bern's other products. The Hard Hat style is manufactured in theBaker, Muse, Brighton, Macon, and Watts models.

So as you can see, Bern is always innovating some new practices to the aggressive sports industry. Not only can you use these for all action sports, but they also make helmets in a wide variety of fits and styles. And if that's not enough, maybe you'd be interestedto hear that Bern also manufactures pads with headphones specifically for your helmet, giving you a unique playlist for your freestyle sport. Yeah, Bern Helmets are definitely sweet.
