Benefits Of Generating Google Traffic To Your Website

By:

It takes all sorts of traffic to make an online world, but if when building your website you pursue a certain purpose, such as increasing your online presence, supporting your business online, making money, speaking out your thoughts to public, etc., you have to realize that not all traffic you generate for your web site would work equally well for attaining your goals.

So, in this article I would like us to take a look at the kind of traffic that does something more than boosting your site traffic statistics, and at Google traffic in particular.

At first let us take a brief look at the different sources the traffic may be directed to your site: search engines, social networks, blogs and forums, link exchange, return visitors, word of mouth visitors, banner and other advertising visitors, paid traffic, free traffic, etc.

Even though online sources may vary greatly, all the traffic directed to your web site can be divided into two basic categories: targeted and untargeted.

This would be a good example for demonstrating the difference: imagine a person, who has a half an hour time between two meetings and has to do some waiting in such a public spot as large store. This person really has no intention of making any purchases, but has some time to kill and entertain him or herself.

He goes in and wonders around the shops (really any kind of shops) regardless of what they sell, not being much interested in the products, but rather in the process of passing the time and entertaining. This would be an illustration of untargeted traffic.

But if you imagine a person, who goes shopping with a list of things to buy and money in his or her pocket, it is an example of targeted traffic. Such people are determined and ready to buy things. Moreover, they are in search of things to buy, read, subscribe or attend to.

So, here it is were Google traffic comes in, because most people landing on your pages from Google search are exactly the kind of ready to buy visitors. They are not simply passing their time, but rather engaging on a search for information, products or services.

They type in the keywords, they know what they want and the rest really depends on how high you appear in Google search and how well you can meet the needs of your site visitors.

So, Google traffic can be indeed a very desirable and valid source for increasing your online presence and consequently for making money online, directing targeted visitors to your web site and creatin a win-win situation for everyone involved.
