If you are one of those people that struggle with engaging yourself in regular exercise, your main problem is probably finding a mean of motivation. Have you ever considered using the current season to get yourself off the couch and doing some body building exercises outside?



Fall is an excellent time to take a step back and engage yourself in the world around you. Exercising in the autumn will help you make your exercises more efficient and productive. You will be able to be in the midst of change and beauty which should motivate you with your personal health and fitness goals.



The autumn time of year is great because the mornings are cool and midday isnt too hot but hot enough to get you sweating a little bit. If possible, ride a bike or jog to work in the mornings. You might get sweaty so dont forget an extra change of clothes for when you get to the office or wherever it is you work.



If riding to work by bike or rollerblades is just simply out of the question, perhaps you could go for a little walk during your lunch break. Walk to the nearest smoothie joint and get a healthy treat for lunch. This would be a thousand times better than driving to a fast food restaurant and eating a big mac for lunch.



Also, it may also be a good idea to not get so serious when considering your exercises. You dont always have to put on your nicest shoes, headband, and muscle shirt to get a good workout. The gym is not the only place where changes occur and great exercises can be achieved.



The autumn months give you the opportunity to enjoy the nice weather and just being outside. There are activities that keep you outside but dont necessarily demand extensive workouts like bike riding and running. Consider a trip to the zoo or a nearby pond or stream. As long as you are having fun and moving you wont even realize youre getting exercise.



My personal favorite thing to do during the fall is to get a group of friends together and play a sport. Some backyard football is a great way to exercise and you get to enjoy the company of your friends and family while you do it. This is a great way to get excited about exercise.



If you are going to decide to play sports with a group of people make sure you plan them on a consistent schedule. Doing so will allow for everyone to plan ahead and it will get you out and about often which is the most important factor of effective exercise.



The point to exercising during the fall is to get you outside and in the beautiful autumn setting. You should be doing it because you want to do it and enjoy doing so. Dont stress yourself about exercising outside. It should come from the desire within.



As long as you are spending most of your free time outside at a park or on the sidewalk instead of on the couch you are headed in the right direction. Make exercise a part of your life and you will be well off.
