Benefits Of Constructive Feedback

By:

If you wish to welcome greatness into your life and business - your personality, leadership, marriage, parenting, spirituality, relationships, health and wellness, academics, career, and finances, you must be willing to welcome constructive feedback without being defensiveness. You must first be open to what others have to say about you, whether perceived to be truthful or not. You must be willing to suppress the natural tendency of feeling attacked, of retaliation.

Whichever way we look at it, there is always an element of truth in every constructive feedback that we are graciously offered, in every criticism, as those with high levels of pride and defensiveness unfortunately consider feedback to be. Rather than foolishly ignoring these nuggets of growth opportunity, ignorantly dismissing them as nonsensical, or arrogantly refuting them as if under attack, wisdom demands that we humbly and diligently scrutinize them for the elements of truth, regardless of how inconsequential we may consider those truths to be.

As a Life Coach, I have learnt that until we start seeing feedbacks as gifts, until we are open to being 'criticized' by those around us, the maturity gap between our physical and mental states would gradually widen, thus making us way more mature in age than in wisdom. Until you humbly embrace the elements of truths which are embedded in what people sincerely think of you, willing to face yourself, tackle your giants, and assume responsibility for your actions and inactions, your growth - mentally, emotionally and spiritually, will be stagnated.

Do you really wish for your mental fitness to eventually supersede your physical state? Do you actually desire Enhanced Personality, Effective Leadership, Energized Marriage, Equipped Parenting, Enriched Spirituality, Enlivened Relationships, Exulting Health & Wellness, Exceptional Academics, Empowered Career, Elating Finances, Exhilarating Business and an Exciting Life Purpose? Do you truly seek sustainable fulfillment in your life and business?

If so, here are the steps to begin your honourable journey to greater heights:

1. Humbly make a list of the feedbacks you have received from close people like your spouse, parents, employees, children, relatives, pastor, boss, employees, and members of your congregation. If unsure, ask them again, and they would be glad, perhaps delighted, to share with you once more.

2. Diligently scrutiny the list for elements of truths by identifying the recurring feedback that are mostly hindering your growth in life, business and relationships - be it procrastination, laziness, selfishness, pride, arrogance, anger, fear, bitterness, ignorance, or inflexibility.

3. Finally, seek the coaching and mentorship that is required to make the humble, progressive changes in your character. If you require our help to work through this uncomfortable list of growth opportunities, or wish to be put on a coaching program to effectuate the change that will bring you fulfillment, contact us for a free Life or Business Coaching Session.

This is the Beginning of Personal Leadership, the Prerequisite for Heroism, the Preparation for a Life of Impact. Although intangible, sincere feedback is one of the most precious gifts that we can truly give to someone and also should wish to receive from those around us. It is so precious that only those who really appreciate you and your efforts will take the time to share their feedback with you. Give it. Treasure it.

Have you had some breakfast today?

Personally, I strongly believe that to be alive is a gift from God, while to live is a daily choice that we make. When we are no longer pricked by your consciences, saying and doing what we want, when and how we want things said or done, without considering the impacts to others, we begin to build a reputation of being alive, when in actual fact, we had regrettably given up our right to life. Live your life with so much humility, gratitude and integrity that when you eventually pass away, your death will call higher, those whom you would be leaving behind.

Welcome to Greatness!
