Freesat is the new FREE digital satellite TV service from the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. It has more than one hundred and fifty radio and television channels for you to enjoy, including all the channels from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. With just a one-off fee for the Freesat Set Top Box, satellite dish and installation, there is no monthly subscription fees to pay.
There are an increasing range of Freesat recorders on sale, and although you may not have heard of the make, Humax is widely respected. The FOXSAT-HDR
Freesat recorder is the brand new twin tuner 320gb hard drive receiver from Humax, for use on the Freesat satellite television platform.
This sleek black unit with a front panel of smoked Perspex concealing the newest advances in personal video recorder technology, so that you can record up to one hundred and sixty hours of SD programming, or 80 hours of HD programming.
When used with the Freesat satellite television platform, this twin tuner receiver gives parallel functionality to Sky+, but without the subscription fees. By hooking up a pair of cables from your satellite dish to this PVR, you could record one programme whilst watching/recording a different programme; or even record 2 programmes whilst playing back something you've recorded previously.
