Being Wealthy Is Having Time, Work From Home

"Being rich is having money; being wealthy is having time."
- Margaret Bonnano

In todays ongoing paper chase it can be easy to get priorities out of order. Life can seem to be an endless race to acquire more wealth and the possessions that wealth provides. In your quest for wealth however, remember that its time freedom that you are ultimately working on attaining in addition to the financial benefits of wealth. Time is your most valuable asset.

It is the only thing in life that you can never get more of. In the book Rich Dad Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki spends a decent amount of pages going into detail about just how essential the control of your time is to enjoying true wealth. You see, we live in a society where we are completely used to other people controlling our time from the time that we are small children. Growing up were told when to get up, when to eat, when to use the bathroom through structures like school and even at home.

Then as we get older and get into the workforce our time is still controlled. We are told when to get up, where to be, when to be there, how long we should work on an assignment, when were allowed to have lunches, when were allowed to have vacation time, when were allowed to enjoy our families, even when were allowed to grieve over our family members that have passed on. Gaining complete control of your time is one of wealths greatest rewards.

Time freedom is also what makes you truly wealthy and not just rich. See, when you are wealthy you control your schedule completely where being rich just means that you have money. You may not necessarily have complete control of your time and your environment. Robert Kiyosaki talks about several points in Rich Dad Poor Dad, as well. One of the biggest traps that befalls many who strives to build wealth is that of focusing so much on making money that they lose sight of balance.

I interviewed an amazing woman named Cheri Tree for The Multi-Million Dollar Mindset. Cheri Tree is a seven-figure earning CEO of Quattro University who made her mark in direct sales when she hit six-figures per month and became the number one money earner in her former company where she sold real estate education.

In her interview she talks about her journey to wealth and how she got so engrossed in just chasing the money that she didnt even realize that she had eventually less time freedom then when she started and had no money. She talked about the fact that she had gotten to a certain level of success where she was to be interviewed for Success at Home magazine and when the interviewers came they were supposed to be showing off this fabulous lifestyle that she had built with her business.

One of the first things that they wanted to do was they wanted to show her using her really nice golf clubs that she had received as a gift a year ago, not as a gift but that she had bought herself. When she actually went to use those golf clubs she found that the tags were still on them from a year ago. Then from there she went to go ride the motorcycle that she had bought herself, her new toy.

When she went to start the motorcycle it puttered and died because the battery was dead because she had not ridden it since she bought it. There was also supposed to be a time to show her on video surfing on her brand new surfboard, and the tag was still on that as well. She realized that seven though she had amassed riches and she had all of these things that she not truly have wealth because she no longer had the time to actually enjoy them.

Then she began to really restructure the way that she did her business to make sure that she was truly enjoying her time and enjoying what wealth is supposed to bring. So being balanced as an entrepreneur is the most important component of leveraging the wealth that you will build to enjoy a truly amazing quality of life. Failing to work toward such balance will simply leave you bankrupt at a higher level.

So as you are reaching for the heights of success, remind yourself to work on making the most of your time and investing it in fulfilling leisurely activities that have nothing to do with making money. Your experience of the fullness of life will be the better for it.
