And they didn't eat primarily honey -- the pure honey was sold to customers -- but the residue that they scraped from the underside of the honey containers, which because it turns out is bee pollen.

And, importantly, the beekeepers didn't process this pollen in any method -- they consumed the pollen unprocessed, unfiltered, and unheated, in its natural state. Any, although they weren't wealthy by any means that and led troublesome lives, they were for the foremost part active and healthy, and fully glad with their lives, even in their last years.

Research by Dr. Tsitsin and others on longevity is inconclusive and a lot of studies stay to be done, however we tend to will still use the benefits of bee pollen.
