Bed Bugs, Pest Control, And Pesticides

By:

Bed bugs in New Jersey are as common as in California and other areas of the United States. They are found in hotels, businesses, and homes. Getting rid of them is not easy. Many are not easily killed by pesticides available in the United States. Though it may seem easy to use a pesticide in your home to rid them it is not the best option for freeing your home of these nasty pests.

It is always best to call a licensed exterminator when you find you are infested with bed bugs. Calling a licensed exterminator instead of trying to use store bought pesticides comes with benefits.

* Licensed pest control professionals are trained and educated in the lifestyles of these bugs and how to properly exterminate them.
* Many exterminators use environmental friendly products to exterminate bugs.
* Licensed exterminators know which products or pesticides to use and how to properly apply them to keep the household safe.
* Exterminators not only spray pesticides and exterminate bugs they also monitor and track the treat problem to prevent infestations from occurring.

If a licensed exterminator suggests you use a pesticide in your home, there are a few precautions you should take.

* Pesticides used for these bugs should be clearly labeled as intended for their extermination. Use of the wrong pesticide can cause health problems and could also cause the the bugs to hide in places you cannot reach them.
* Never use a pesticide labeled for outdoor use indoors. Doing so is very dangerous and will not help you exterminate these bugs.
* Always read the pesticide label and make sure you understand and follow all of the directions on the pesticide label.
* Do not spray pesticides in areas where children are present. Also, do not spray pesticides on mattresses, sofas, curtains, or other fabric covered items that come in contact with the skin.
* Pesticides without an EPA (Environmental Protections Agency) registration number have not been reviewed by the EPA to determine how well the pesticide works.

Bed bugs may be on the rise, but the infestation of them in your home can be prevented and treated. If you are suffering from bed bugs in New Jersey or around the United States it is time to call your exterminator to help you find the pesticides you need and to help you free your home of your infestation.
