Become The Face Of Social Store.

Having launched earlier this year and already ahead of financial targets, the store which aims to create a stress-free shopping haven is on the hunt for male models aged 16 and over to compete to become the 'Face of Social Store 2011'.

The website socialstore.com, is expected to turnover close to 500,000 in its first year as its fills a gap in the market for designer men"s fashion in Yarm, while also enjoying soaring online sales.

Further explaining the reason behind the competition, store manager and buyer, Benn Geldart said:

"We aim to create a sociable shopping experience in store for local people. Our customers would much rather see a local lad representing our shop rather than someone they don't know. There is no upper age-limit for the competition either as we have customers from various different age ranges who come in store - we could even find the North East's very own George Clooney!"

Geldart a self-confessed denim fanatic has created a "wall of denim"in the shop which explains different styles of jeans on a large chalkboard.

The shop also plans to host a series of events, such as meet the designer evenings, live music and fashion shows in the coming months.

It is also set to introduce iPads into the shop to allow customers to order items online if a certain designers range is not available in the store.

As the buyer for the business, he regularly attends exhibitions across Europe and most recently visited Berlin for the Bread & Butter buyers event.

The store currently employs four people, with plans to increase that this year, while its website has enjoyed exponential growth in the short time since its launch, with month-on-month sales doubling each month since the turn of the year.

Social Store will stock several brands that have not been available in Yarm before, such as indie music star Liam Gallaghers brand Pretty Green, Edwin Jeans, Denham and J Lindeberg.

As well as being awarded the prestigious title of 'Face of Social Store 2011', the winner will also receive 500 worth of clothing as well as a professional photo shoot.
