Gargle - Japanese researchers found that gargling daily with water reduces your chance of catching a cold, by 36%!
Water! Water! - Don't let yourself get dehydrated. Fight off that cold by flushing out the infectious bug! For extra measure, try hot lemon first thing in the morning, to cleanse your digestive system.
Get fresh air - Take a 5 minute break and get outdoors. If you're at home, leave a window ajar. Let fresh air circulate and don't let germs accumulate.
Wash your hands! - Using a public loo? Wash your hands and then grab a paper towel to open the door. Think how many cold and flu germs are lurking on that handle!!
Eat some yoghurt - live or natural yoghurt contains good bacteria that can help you build up your immune system.
Eat garlic - helps stave off a cold, or reduce its symptoms.
Sleep more - and keep your immune system stronger. Find time to get a quick nap!
PLEASE exercise - one of the best ways to up your immune system and sweat out those germs...
Take a daily dose of Echinacea - if you sense a cold lurking, take a daily dose for a week or so. It's amazing what this herbal remedy can do to stimulate your immune system and ward off infection.
Follow these tips and many more of you should stay cold-free this winter.
