For centuries, it was usually the men who got to have all the fun. It was accepted that because girls mature faster than boys, it was just natural for girls to be attracted to men who were older than they were. And men tended to be attracted to younger women whom they may have felt they had a bit more control over.

Whatever the reason for the social stigma, today that stigma seems to be disappearing. Many young men find the idea of being with an older, more experienced woman, to be quite intriguing. Women in today's society have become much more powerful than they have been in the past. There are very few differences between men and women these days.

Women are just as likely to work outside the home as men are. Their purpose in life is not just to stay home and take care of their husband's children. The role women played in the past was that of caretaker of her husband and children. A "lady" was not seen as something sexual at all. But times have changed since then.
