Be A World Class Communicator With The Right Speaking Training?

By:

Ask around about presentation skills or public speaking and the main opinion still holds that great speakers are somehow born not made.

Developing the ability to present powerfully, even magically still clings to the should do list not the must do list for the majority of employees and entrepreneurs even though they know it would enhance their careers.

The biggest issue is getting past people's perceived fears of speaking to an audience as this is what most people associate to presenting. And this is what gets in the way of realizing what presenting to an audience is actually about. A set of tangible skills. More accurately an influence skill set. And an incredible tool of influence once grasped.

In practice you can use these skills to turn a group of individuals into a powerfully bonded team. All companies would like their employees to deliver more, and deliver faster and it's these skills which give you the ability to inspire, focus and mobilize them to greater results.

In the hands of your sales people, these same skills can give them an edge over their competitors and allow them to set new standards in conversions for your industry.

So where do you begin?

Presenting skills is too big, so break it into smaller simpler, digestible chunks. Then take each piece in turn, learn it and practice. If you can practice in front of a live audience even better as the experience will give you a real measure of what to focus on or what to improve.

So what are the major elements you need to focus on?

1. Creating a bond of trust with your group or audience. And my definition of an audience is anything from one to over a thousand.
2. Stage craft. Developing the understanding of how to use your stage area effectively and powerfully. Using your arms, hands and body. Using gestures as a tool of influence.
3. Organizing your content With an audience different people will respond to different aspects of your presentation. There is a way to make everyone in the room feel like you are talking directly to them alone which is incredibly powerful.
4. Your call to action. World class speakers always have a purpose to presenting. They don't just speak, they fire specific emotions in the audience to move them to do something with the information covered.

There have been numerous studies into great speakers throughout time. And the reason they have been so great isn't luck or chance. It's specific tangible skills. Which means you can master it too.
