Be A Professional Network Marketer Or Fail

By:

The beginning of almost every network marketers career starts with an emotional decision. It is usually about hope, desperation, or just plain excitement. Most of them have no idea what it takes to be a successful business owner because they have never owned any type of business.

When you have never done it before, spending money on a business and investing a lot of time doing radically different activities will feel very uncomfortable and strange. Everything you do will be influenced by emotion so every lead you call will feel like it is make it or break it, every meeting you go to will be the one you expect to hear the "big" secret.

You will be fearful of every dollar spent and every rejection will feel like a slap in the face. Instead of living with a prosperity consciousness you will be living in a place of need. This is one of the main reasons about 97% of all new network marketers quit after 2 or 3 months.

If you let emotions cause you to sign up and have an emotional reaction to everything that happens in your business, good or bad, the failures will be horrible. It will be very hard to realize that failures are actually good for you because they cause you to learn.

Think about a pendulum. However far the pendulum swings on the side of risk or failure, it will swing equally far on the side of success. This is a natural and universal law. The bigger the risk of failure you allow the more potential for success you set yourself up for. Most people limit their risk swing because they are scared and if that side is limited the other side is limited the same.

True professionals will feel no different about failures as they do about successes. They will know that there is a connection and the more risk of failure they expose themselves to the more potential for success they set themselves up for.

If you want to be a professional network marketer you must remove emotions from your business decisions, failures, and successes. You can still be enthusiastic and positive without letting emotions rule your business.

On TV there is a show called Shark Tank and ordinary people come out one by one to pitch a business idea to 4 millionaires. Invariably one of the millionaires will tell the prospect to let their emotions go and do not cry over money because money doesn't care about anything.

Business is business and it is about making money. What goes up must come down so when something good happens and emotions are in control you will be set up for disaster when you come back down. If you lose the emotions in your business and concentrate on acting like a leader you will reach your goals no matter what failures you have to endure.

Just remember, some things you try will fail but YOU will not be a failure unless you quit. Learn what works and teach it to your prospects. That will position you as a leader and someone of value to others.

People join leaders and it doesn't even matter what company you are in. Leaders offer value to others and that creates a following which attracts more people. There are so many amateurs out there you will be able to stand out fairly easily if you conduct yourself with professionalism and exhibit your leadership by helping others.

Become a student of the industry, help as many people as you can, and get emotions out of your business and you will be a professional network marketer.
