Bathroom Fixture Installation

By:

When you are remodeling your bathroom it is always best to replace your Tampa bathroom fixtures while you are at it. This will help you not only have fixtures that match the new interior of you bathroom but it will also save you on water. So why should you have a certified professional do this instead of making it a do it yourself job?

Most modern bathroom fixtures require some soldering of the copper water pipes to the fixtures themselves. This is so that the copper pipe has an air tight seal preventing leakage later on. Copper soldering is a very delicate practice since copper has a low melting point.

The low melting point of copper makes it pliable for plumbing and other functions. This makes it incredibly hard to solder for those who aren't seasoned professionals and can cause you to damage more of the pipe then expected this is why you want a professional to handle installing new bathroom fixtures.

The other reason why you want a professional to handle it is because of future insurance liability issues. If anything unforeseen happens with one of your bathroom fixtures, most insurance companies will only cover the damages if it was installed by a licensed professional. So if you do it yourself and it develops even a natural leak then you could end up spending thousands of dollars in repairs if you install them yourself.

Bathroom fixtures are easy for a professional to install and shouldn't take more than three or four hour depending on how much work is needed. First the professional has to remove the fixture correctly as to not damage existing plumbing. The next step is setting the new fixture.

Depending on the plumbing design, meaning if the water lines come from the floor or the wall, depends on what the professional does next. If the existing fixture is wall mounted it may be necessary to add pipe to set the new fixture properly. Floor based piping provides the easiest means to replace the fixture often requiring no additional pipe.

After the solder has cooled then comes time to pressure test the new fixtures. If everything check out then you are finished with the fixtures. Always remember that the easiest way to do this is with a certified plumber since they know how to quickly and safely install new fixtures. This will save you countless dollars and provide you with proper usage for years to come.
