Bath Remodeling On A Small Budget

I moved into my home a little over six months ago. I loved the layout of my house, there only was one problem. The owner before me had a design for every room and it ruined the flow of the house. The two major areas that needed the most help were the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen wasnt that bad we looked for ideas at photos, the HGTV network and different remodeling magazines. Once we got done choosing our ideas the rest was pretty easy for the kitchen. We got updated appliances, a new tile backsplash and then painted it a neutral color. The kitchen remodeling process was easy, but it took a lot out of our budget. It was going to be hard to do a bath remodeling project with such a small budget.

To start our Bathroom remodeling we began looking at different Bathroom design, Bathroom Makeover on HGTV and noticing others bathrooms. Our bathroom was outdated and the tile in the bath and shower was a disgusting old-fashioned pink color. It for sure had to go. We wanted our kitchen ideas to flow into the bathroom by using the same colors. We took some photos of our kitchen and started comparing different bathroom remodeling products. Bath remodeling was beginning to be a lot harder than Id anticipated. My husband decided that he and his buddys could do most of the labor to cut back on our budget.

One night when I was watching the HGTV network I saw a bathroom makeover that would be perfect for our bath remodeling project. I immediately went on-line and found some less expensive ideas to achieve the same look. The design I saw on the television was for a business commercial properties but I thought with some minor changes it would be a good bathroom design. Our bath remodeling finally had a plan. I wanted to make sure every detail was taken care of. I didnt want to go over budget, and I didnt want guest to come into a bathroom with an unfinished shower.

To help tie-in the kitchen with the bathroom, we used the same backsplash tiles to do some of the tiles in the shower. My husband came up with this design that I was skeptical of, he didnt want to follow the photos that I suggested. When he was done the design looked amazing, so I took photos of the shower and sent it in to HGTV. I tried to help in the bath remodeling process, but I mainly got in the way of the actual remodeling process and asked too many questions about the bathroom remodeling products. I was then sent to do other chores around the house. My husband wanted the bath remodeling to be a surprise for my birthday.

The remodeling of the bathroom was a success. It looked amazing, the design and function of the bathroom where amazing and fit in well with the kitchen ideas. My husband tried taking all the credit for the work in the bathroom and kitchen, but I wouldnt let him take it all. It was my ideas and design that made everything work. Overall the bath remodeling was hard, It took a lot of patience to find a design that went with the rest of the house. Now that we have the main bathroom done, were going to start on the other bathrooms in our house.
