Position the lines in the corner, wing, foul line, opposite wing, and opposite corner. You can even decide where to place the lines depending on where you want your players to shoot from. After positioning your players, let them shoot and follow their own shot, pass back to the line that they were previously in, and return to that line. Keep doing this until a group reaches 21.
Example number two: Westhead drill. This drill, adapted from Paul Westhead, works by enhancing muscle memory through physical and mental practice. Moreover, this drill helps develop hand-eye coordination. In order to perform this drill, shoot five shots and picture five successful shots in your mind. Then, close your eyes before shooting five more shots and picturing five successful shots. Open your eyes and shoot five shots, and then take five real shots with your eyes closed.
Example number three: Free throw drill. This drill is great for developing consistent free throw routine, concentration, and focus at the free throw line. It also facilitates the visualization of a successful shot, helping you block out negative thoughts and distractions and allowing you to focus on nothing but the net as you shoot from the free throw line.
These three examples of basketball shooting workouts 21, Westhead drill, and free throw drill are useful not only for improving your shooting skills but also for building up your confidence and positive attitude as you shoot the ball during a game.
