Basics Of Dog Fences

By:

The dog owners should consider the fact that their pet may affect the neighbors or how will the dog react in case he escapes from the yard. He might bite someone if agitated or may cause accidents. This is especially true if the dog keeps jumping out of the boundary and has a habit of roaming around freely. He becomes botheration if he is not controlled properly. On the other hand the dogs become easily irritated by the people who try to tease them. And this causes a lot of misery to them. The best way to prevent this problem is to have fences in your yard either seen or wireless. However it is advisable that you buy one that actually suits your situation and should be practical. Dont just opt for aesthetic satisfaction. You should also see what kind of regulations your community has for the dog fences. Sometimes height is the main consideration and many communities allow up to 6 feet of dog fence only.

Types of dog fences:

Masonry walls: These are perfect fences, but they are very expensive. They may not look attractive but they last long may be lifetime. The main problem with them is that they obstruct the view from your yard.
Picket fences: These are also a good option and will retain your dog. They are wooden and offer good containment for your dog. However they are quite expensive. Also you have to ensure that they are of a height to contain your dog within the premises. Just check whether they are allowed within your zone.
Chain Link fences: These are very strong Dog fences. They last very long and prevent any intruders from poking your dog. Even your dog doesnt dare to cross them for the fear of getting hurt. However they are unattractive and they do not gel with the beauty of your landscape.
Snow fencing: This is a cheaper option but it doesnt last long. It consists of low gauge wires and is available in various sizes. They do not obstruct the views and the passersby are not able to poke your dog. But they rust very fast; hence they have high maintenance costs.
Farm fence: This is the cheapest type of fence available to contain your dog. It contains narrow gauge wires. However, it is not very attractive and corrodes very fast.
Wireless dog fences: These are best types of fences. They fulfill all the criteria. They do not obstruct the view; are not very expensive and your ground is saved from digging. They are suitable for stubborn dogs also.
