The SELPHY ES40 also has a unique egg-shaped design with a carrying handle. The AC adapter of this device is not detachable, unlike most models. It has a 3.5 embedded LCD and an easy scroll wheel, and it also has voice command features for easy operation. The device has several software and programs for photo printing which include DIGIC II, Creative Print, and Gold/Silver Print.

The SELPHY ES3 is very similar in appearance as the ES40 model and it also has an easy scroll wheel and a 3.5 LCD display. But this model has infrared connectivity which makes it more wireless-enabled as compared to the former model. However, this model doesnt have DIGIC II although it does have the other two photo printing programs. It even has a built-in memory which enables you to save photos in the printer directly for future reference.
