Break dancing has been proven to be one of the most captivating dance styles all over the world. This is due to the flexibility it brings out in every dancer. During the 80's break dancing steps has been a trademark to every street in America.

Now that we are in the modern era, the basics on how to learn break dance is still there but with new innovations in dance steps. This is due to the evolution of the dance wherein it goes with the flow with new versions of hip hop music.

The uniqueness of these break dancing steps can truly move your body. Hence, if you want to learn break dance, consider these basic moves and dance the night away with your friends. Read on.

Top rock - This is one of the popular moves that you can surely do. Also this is a warm up step wherein you are in a standing position. Simply place your right foot forward and exchange your left (the right and left foot should also move backwards) as you move your arms backwards.

Worm - Worm involves flexibility of your body since you are going to lie with your body face down. The step here is just like the movement of a worm or a caterpillar wherein your whole body waves on the floor.

6-step - This is also one of the fundamentals on how to learn break dance. Start with your body facing on the floor and do the sit up position. Spread your legs and then lift your left hand with your right hand in its proper place (on the floor).

Always keep your weight on your right foot and hand to balance your body. The next step is to place your left leg into your right leg. After that move, you have to swing your right leg in front of you (just like in a crab position). Repeat the step the other way around and practice it as you go along the process of break dancing steps.

Head spin - Head spin can surely make your audience go crazy since you will dance using your head. All you have to do here is to get a head gear that is quite soft on the head. The next step is to balance your head on the floor using your hands then spin your whole body. Just make sure that you properly balance your body as you spin to avoid an accident.

The hand glide - This is usually done by one-hand float position. You need to balance your body here using your hands and knees (in a crawling position). Your elbow should be on your hip to balance your body with a slightly hunched back. Your balance here must be with your right hand while you are pushing your body with your left hand.

With these basics steps on how to learn break dance, you can now have your own move. Just remember that you have to practice well. Also, you have to warm up prior to dancing break dance to avoid sudden accidents since your body is not yet ready.
