Barrington Lexus Dealers Continue The Excitement For Lexus Enthusiasts

It seems like weve been stuck in the recession forever, and just when we thought we could see the light at the end of the tunnel, the future of the economy is beginning to go out of focus again. We all know how the recession affected us personally over 2009, and weve seen the unemployment numbers skyrocketing through the ceiling. And, of course, weve all read millions of news reports about how poorly the auto industry has reacted to the recession. Its true, sales numbers were down heavily over the course of 2009, with Kia seemingly the only untouchable brand on the market.

While it definitely took its own blows, Toyota has been able to withstand the recession by offering some of the more affordable and reliable vehicles that drivers can find these days. And Toyotas sibling, Lexus, has also done what it could to rebound from the nasty backslide. Toyota itself has run into a few more roadblocks at the beginning of 2010; the manufacturer is still deciding whether or not to recall some ridiculous number of Prius cars due to faulty breaks. But if I know anything about Toyota, the Japanese manufacturer will find a way to get back on top in no time. For Barrington Lexus dealers however, the time is now to make a rebound, and the early 2010 sales numbers look bright.

Compared to 26 selling days last year, this years 24 selling days produced spectacular results for Lexus. According to official sales numbers for January, Lexus logged a total of 15,517 sold cars over the first month of 2010, a 14.2 percent increase over last years January sales numbers. For Chicago used Lexus GS dealers, this means a huge resurgence in the brand. The numbers for January 2009 totaled just 14,722, so that fact that the brand has bounced back so easily is a factor that will come into play as 2010 weeds out the automakers that havent put the right pieces into play for the new year. But for Chicago used Lexus LS dealers, the future is pretty exciting.

Chicago used Lexus GS dealers were excited to hear that the GX posted 1,529 units sold over January 2010 a 163.8 percent increase over the numbers from January 2009. Unfortunately, the GS itself saw a sales decrease, logging only 529 units sold. The ES also showed a percentage increase, establishing the vehicle as a hot seller in the face of a recall just two months ago. Chicago used Lexus LS dealers also saw their vehicles becoming hot commodities on the market, selling 1,092 units over the month.

Its unfortunate that weve had to see such a heart-wrenching decrease in sales for the GS, as its one of my favorite vehicles in the Lexus lineup. At this point, the only good that could seemingly come out of the GS poor sales is a greater push towards the next generation GS, which would be just fine by me. And, Im sure, it would be just fine by Barrington Lexus dealerships as well.
