Bargain Battle: Used Honda Versus Bmw And Toyota

By:

A used Honda has always had a reputation for excellent reliability, however this has been a difficult year for Japanese car makers. Toyota's trouble have affected not only the company's reputation, but the image of reliability and efficiency that has become so ingrained in the character of cars from the far east. It's not fair, but business rarely is, so with that in mind there is every to hope that there might be substantial bargains on the second hand car market in the next couple of months.

The second hand market has taken a back seat in recent months as sales of new vehicles picked up thanks to the government's scrappage scheme. However, that is now coming to an end, so if you want a bargain it is time to go looking to all those used car dealerships you've been shunning for so long. Here there is good news. The troubled market means prices are coming under preassure at the need to bring people in through the door takes a higher priority. However, buying second hand can be a dangerous business. Here's a look at the makes that offer the best options.
Normally you can't go wrong with a used Honda. It's a solid car and as long as it has been looked after properly should offer you a reasonable amount of reliability. One of the favourites has often been the Honda Accord, which offers real driving luxury for a good price.

A good used Honda Accord can be found for around eight thousand pounds complete with an impressive range of kit.

However there are also impressive deals on the bargains for lovers of the BMW Series 5. There is a brand new model arriving in 2010 replacing the much maligned E60 model and that means there are likely to be some good prices to be obtained on relatively new models. The love it or hate it nature of the E60 means this could be underpriced as Bimmer drivers seek a return to basics.

There are also some good deals to be had with some Toyotas as owners of older models become paranoid that previously reliable cars might give them a nasty shock - like the old faithful dog that suddenly turns on its master.

So which one's the best? A Used Honda offers an excellent simple driving experienced while Bimmer fans will seek a bargain with an underpriced BMW. Thrill seekers will take their life in their hands by shelling out on a cheap used Toyota, but for realy adventure why not head to one site which is advertising a second hand Bughatti Veyron. Nice if you can afford it.
