Banks Can Be Hazardous To Your Wealth!

By: Danil Ava1

"Alone, we survive. United, we thrive!"

Consider the wonderful world of service fees. More specifically, an Overdraft fee! If you feel as if banks associate an overdraft fee for everything except breathing the air at your local branch, youre not imagining things. Within the wide swath of banking industry laws today, you can be, and in fact, often are, charged tidy sums for the following:

Bank Overdraft Fees!!!
Withdrawing your own funds from an ATM, even one that is within your banks own system
Talking to a teller face-to-face, even about a bank error
Doing any banking transaction by telephone
Getting technical help with online banking sites
Receiving printed statements by mail
Getting a copy of a check from your own account
Stopping payment on a check
Reversing a stop payment order
Buying a money order off funds in your own account
Purchasingor cashing!travelers checks, even when theyre issued by your own bank and many other tasks that banks used to consider just part of their jobs to do for you as a customer for no charge.

What happens if you complain about a questionable business practices or a bank overdraft fee? Best case scenario, youll receive a waiver and credit of some, not necessarily all, of these bank overdraft fees. This doesnt, of course, cover you for any returned-item charges you get from creditors, the embarrassment of bouncing checks, or any of the other hassles involved in this kind of slanted transaction.

Yes, an overdraft fee is outrageous!!! Yes, its unfair. And thats why the public needs this solid network to challenge the banks. "Its about strength in numbers, says Ruben Villa, the man behind the mission. And, to Villa, make no mistake, this is a mission.

Banks make billions of dollars off usurious, unethical, and unjust fee and interest-rate practices year after yearand yet theyre coming to the government now and expecting consumers to fork over more money yet so they can stay in business Villa declares. The banking industry needs change. It needs to be reformed. But this reform wont come from the top because thats where all the profits are. It needs to come from the grassroots level, from ordinary consumers who band together, who act together, who pressure banks together, to give them the service they deserve."

Challenge The Bank has realized that Bank officials wont go to court or seek settlements in one Small Claims case, which is what most of dispute tend to be, he explains, but if one hundred Small Claims cases all filed against them on the same day? Or a thousand? At that point, the sheer numbers, and the sheer money involved, force them to take some kind of action." Banks dont want court judgments against them in this financial climate. Really its a matter of leverage. And thats what Challenge the Bank offers: consumer leverage, consumer numbers, and consumer information that will reward the good guys out there and get the bad guys back in line.

Banks will soon learn that people are tired of getting riddled by overdraft fees. A bank overdraft fee will soon be drastically reduced and bank overdraft fees will no longer haunt customers.
