Bacterial Vaginosis-how To Prevent It

Bacterial Vaginosis-how To Prevent It

By:

Bacterial vaginosis is created by harmful bacteria in the vagina.

The signs and symptoms are

" Whitish vaginal discharge .

" Unpleasant vaginal odour, most noticeable after sex.

" Itching and irritation around the vagina.

" Burning feeling during urination.

There is a cure. Doctors don't have it. They use antibiotics which only stop it for a while. It usually returns and so they just keep increasing the antibiotics. The real cure is a natural one which I reveal on my website.

It's said that half the women in the world get bacterial vaginosis at some time in their lives. But that doesn't mean you have to get it. You can take measures to avoid it. Learn about it and get good advice.

It's not a sexual infection so don't be alarmed on that score but it does occur when people are sexually active. In simple terms, the cause is the unbalance of good bacteria and bad bacteria in the vagina.

You can conquer this thing, just like you would a dose of the flu. Winning will give you back your confidence, unlike many other women who suffer great stress because of bacterial vaginosis.

But first of all, to help prevent you getting bacterial vaginosis, I suggest the following:

1. Do not douche

2. Keep the vaginal area dry and clean. Before and after sex
Wash with clean water and dry thoroughly.

3. Avoid tight fitting jeans. Wear panties that fit well and are made of breathable cotton. The material should be able to absorb moisture and allow air to circulate. Nylon underwear and tights are bad news..

4. Wear loose fitting trousers and try to avoid wearing nylon pants and tights under tight trousers, especially at night. If possible, especially at night, wear no panties at all.

5. Always wipe from front to back after bowel movements.

6. Avoid scented toilet paper, deodorant tampons and other perfumed hygiene products.

7. Change tampons or pads frequently.

8. Reduce excess weight- it makes itching worse.

9. Avoid using washing powder with harsh chemicals which can irritate your vagina.

10. Don't use vaginal deodorants as they can irritate the mucous membranes. They can make your vagina dry and itchy and can cause allergic reaction.

Obviously it also helps if you keep healthy. Boost your immunity with healthy foods rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C and E, zinc and selenium.
