As a sponsor of my daughters high school dance, I had to collaborate on decorations with the student association. I wanted to find something that was inexpensive yet brought the type of decorative quality all the kids were looking for. The theme of their dance was Psychedelic 70s so think hippies, disco balls, and colorful abstract-like paintings. I figured it would be great to use a backdrop or two to set the theme and also use as a photography background so my search began. I found a few places that sold backdrops that were fairly priced but werent available in larger sizes like I had hoped. Their selection was also really slim, mainly only having scenic backdrops instead of Theme Backdrops that I was looking to find. I was looking for something that portrayed the psychedelic theme, so something colorful using bright neon colors would be especially perfect as a photography background.
Purchasing a backdrop was out of the question as the schools budget for the dance would not allow it, so I looked into Backdrop Rentals instead. Renting a backdrop would run me far less than purchasing one, and also came in different sizes. They also came with more selection and I was able to find the one I wanted to rent in the perfect size. My next worry washow hard is it going to be to set up this backdrop? The backdrop shipped to the school (the dance was held in the gym) and to my surprise it was easy to set up. It came with its own frame and only took two people to assemble. As for the break downanother easy task and all I had to do was ship it back to the company after I was done. I started thinking of ways I could use backdrops to improve other special events.
I thought about using a backdrop for my own corporate events, especially because most of them were themed. Our next event was coming up in a few months and was themed Hollywood Nights. Think glamour, red carpet, and flashing lights. I searched through plenty of backdrops to find the perfect Hollywood-themed
backdrop. Again, I rented the perfect backdrop and had it set up in our corporate events venue. Using the rented Hollywood-themed backdrop as a photography background really helped and plenty of co-workers had a blast using it in the photo booth! Backdrop rentals make any event special.
