Back To School? Keep The Natural Lice Treatment Handy!

By:

Let's face it, folks. If you have little ones heading back to school, they will be exposed to all sorts of new things every day. One of those things is probably head lice. Now, there's no need to panic or consider home schooling; just have some natural lice treatment products on hand. You can quickly quell any outbreak, and get the kids back on track in no time.

Natural Lice Treatment That Works

The days of using harsh chemicals and nasty smelling shampoos are long gone, thankfully. Today, health conscious parents opt for natural lice treatments made from all natural and organic ingredients. The earth provides a natural solution for just about every problem, and head lice are no different. With ingredients like olive oil, jojoba oil, cinnamon leaf essential oil and neem oil, these products work beautifully, and smell wonderful. So send your child back to school and don't worry!

Removing Those "Back to School Head Lice"

1. Begin with a natural lice treatment shampoo.
Thoroughly wash your child's hair with an organic lice treatment shampoo. There's no need to scrub hard or be rough; just be sure the lather reaches all the way to the scalp, and throughout all their hair. Rinse with warm water.

2. Add conditioner before combing out.
After shampooing, add a natural lice treatment conditioner to their hair, and massage in gently but thoroughly. Again, be sure the conditioner gets all the way to the scalp. This step will help make the comb-out process much easier, so don't skip it!

3. Get comfy and starting combing.
The shampoo will kill any live adult lice, but it doesn't kill the eggs, or nits. These sticky little white blobs attach themselves to the root of the hair shaft. These nits cling on for dear life, so you need to carefully comb through each section of hair, from the root to the tip, to remove them.

Use a good lice comb, specifically designed for this job. If your child has a favorite movie, or wants to play a video game while you do this, let them. The combing process may take a couple of hours, and there's no sense in making it a torture session! Bring a kitchen chair into the family room, and a stool for you. Relax, and make it as enjoyable as possible for you both.

4. Treat the scalp.

After combing out the nits, your child's scalp might be a little tender. Treat it with a natural lice treatment scalp conditioner, which will soothe the scalp and offer a layer of protection against new infestations.

So don't worry, and don't panic. With the right natural lice treatment products, back to school doesn't have to mean back to head lice!
