Babies Are Like Mind Readers

According to Washington University babies engage in what is called "emotional eaves dropping". Babies listen to the tone of voice and facial movements to determine the mood of adults, they then use what they saw and heard to shape their own behavior.

Babies are basically like super humans; their auditory and visual senses are way more advanced than adults are. They can see things that grownups, just don't see.

There was a study done on babies who had never had any contact with dogs. The experiment used recorded dog barking and pictures of the dogs, the six month old could tell which dog was barking just by the tone in the bark.

These little tikes are basically like sham-wows for information. They absorb it like it's going out of style.

It isn't until the babies are around two years old and starts developing language skills that they stop using their eyes and ears like superman. You see if a person doesn't have one sense they compensate with a strengthened sense somewhere else.

Like blind people, they won't be able to read this, but they will hear you tightening your brow in consternation as you attempt to think deep thoughts. Ok their hearing isn't that good, but it's definitely better than yours.

Babies basically have no senses developed, so they accommodate by having all their senses super enhanced. These abilities allow the kid to read emotion in people's faces better than any trained mind reader.

This is why babies are constantly crying when you come near them, because they can see your disgust for all things baby behind your fake smile. This is why people of culturally rich backgrounds say that babies see your soul.

They basically do, they are looking past all that veneer, through the facade you have developed in your long arduous altogether fake life, and they are seeing your true emotional state. They can tell that you are toying with some horrible thoughts, even though all your friends think that you are basically mentally stable.

So next time you are changing a diaper try to think positive thoughts, because even if you think you can maintain a face that looks like you are happy a baby will see right through it. That is the problem when around babies you actually have to have clean, non-depressing, anti-aggressive, positive thoughts and emotions.

Otherwise the psychic little kid is going to point you out for what you really are in front of all the non-psychotic adults. This is why bad guys aren't good with kids.
