The two years of your MBA is going to be hectic and demanding. Make sure you get your fair share of fun before you join MBA. Go for a holiday, have fun with friends and family and spend quality time with them.

Network with your potential classmates and seniors. These days, most seniors start a Face Book group or forums for juniors. Join them and mix around. Go for meets that seniors conduct during their summers. You would get a fair share of expectations from you in these next two years.

Things to expect from seniors & faculty members:

You will get loads of held and guidance from your seniors. Seniors have been there before you. Every B School is a system, the tricks for navigating can be told to you only by a senior.

Faculty members are really strict about diligence in assignments and punctuality. You have to really learn that! I have seen people getting into arguments with faculty over many issues because thats what they have seen. But do realize that the faculty has a reason for why they are saying something. Develop the habit to listen and youll learn a lot.

Ways to cope stress

Friends are the best way to cope stress. You will make a lot of friends in these two years. Even if you are the shy type! Millions of case studies and group assignments throw all sorts of people together which forges real long term bonds. Theyll be your stress busters!

It becomes quite essential to make trips into the city and around, especially after a hectic week to get away from it all. You can pursue your hobby. It can be anything from music, sports, any art form, or internet, movies. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend on or off campus also helps in coping the stress!

Things to look out for

This year, our hostels are shifting to a brand new location. So it will be new to the seniors also.
Lot of permanent faculty will be joining us this year.

Practical tips

Dont just speak, listen. Honestly saying, any good B School has students who have already achieved something or the other in life and have their own point of view. Just be yourself. Observe people around you. Try to learn from others and do the same for them.
