Avoid Bad Driving Habits It Can Affect Your Insurance Premiums

By:

Around 70% of britishers drive rash and hence influence the car insurance rates. They have developed bad habits while driving. Do away with such practices or else you are bound to meet with an accident injure yourself or injure others or damage others property.

Avoid any such bad practices while driving such as:
Eating and drinking while you are driving
Driving in high speed
Feeling exhausted but you are still driving
Do not drive with out your shoes, it might be risky
Talking on mobile phones while driving, always use hands free
Text messaging while you are driving
Reading a map etc.

It is good to stick to the rules of the road so as to avoid ramming into others. Have a vehicle insurance in place before you get involved in any such situation. Remember that if you were responsible for the accident then an insurance company will soon increase your premiums. And yet whilst it is all too easy to let bad habits creep into the way people drive, but when you do this think twice. You are doing it at the cost of your life, some one else life and may affect your insurance premiums too. Once you have penalty points on your license or driving convictions the cost of your car insurance can soar.

Insurance companies will have a limitation such as a three penalty points or six points, if you exceed this your insurer will commence to penalise you for this. They will look at it more closely as to whether you are too much of a risk to insure. A corp may confiscate your license along with your insurance and you will not be able to apply for another insurance else where with out your license. Therefore beware of such driving habits and do not end up in a messy situation!

You cant get away with false information while applying for an insurance, it will amount to fraud. Policy companies will consider your previous driving history while fixing up rates for your policy. Certain safety measures must be taken while driving. It was not that many years ago that seat belts where made mandatory for drivers and passengers travelling in both the front and rear seats. People may remember the 'crash dummies' which were shown on television as to force of impact collisions cause on the human body. These types of test are still carried out in order to improve car performance whilst keeping safety foremost in the designer's minds.
