The main reason I want to become a medical transcriptionist is because I lose valuable time with my children every day. I currently work at a fast food restaurant and working eight to ten hours a day for just enough money to pay the bills does not make me happy. I want to be at home with my children and still be able to work a job that makes me enough money to buy a little something extra every once in a while. My children deserve the best and I can never give them that working where I am now. My children being happy is the most important thing to me, and I know if I could spend more time with them that they would be happy. I know that I am not going to become a millionaire doing this job, but I think I will make more money than what I make now. I also know that I will be able to work more efficiently in my own home without someone right over my back, breathing down my neck all day. I basically just want to be happy with my job, just like I am sure everyone does. I have thought about many different occupations to go to school for. Medical transcription is what I have decided would be best for me. I think I would finish school sooner going through this program and would be working and making money sooner also. I have tried many different jobs throughout the years and a few online rip-offs that I lost a lot of money with. Other stay at home jobs are just a way to get free money out of the person that wants an opportunity. If I feel that I am not being ripped off, I can really apply myself to what it is that I am doing. I am very dedicated to what I do. Whether it is fast food, or just working around the house, I always finish my job, and I always do it well. I have discussed this decision with friends and family to get their opinion on the matter. Not only myself, but everyone I spoke with about it thought that this would be great for me. I would really enjoy a career in medical transcription and I also feel that I am prepared to do what it takes to get the chance. If people were more willing to take a chance, I think a lot of people would be more successful. That is another reason for my decision to do medical transcription.
