Automobile Market Will Surge In June

By:

China Association of Automobile Manufacturers recently released that although in May China's automobile sales were still low and showed a negative growth, but exports and imports of cars made a new record. The amount is 72,100, more than the highest monthly export value it ever had. From the January to May, exports of automotive cars is 297,100 units, increased 55.60% over the same period of the previous year. It is expected that the gradual recovery of world economy will be conducive to China's auto exports.

Despite the current international economic crisis has not been restored to the level as before, with the rapid economic recovery, the overall situation of the world economy gradually improved, China's car exports have also shown significant growth.

The latest statistics show that new car transactions in Beijing in the May of 2011 were 30,400, a growth of 19%. Although the trend of sales growth is still negative compared with last year, the new car sales in Beijing for the first time exceed 30,000, releasing the signal that the automobile market is going to pick up. By the end of May, personal car transactions in Beijing accounted for 74% of new car transactions, increased by 7 percentage points from 67% from March.

Experts analyzes that there are two reasons why the automobile market picks up. First, manufacturers increase promotional efforts to stimulate the enthusiasm of consumers to buy cars. The other is some tight hot models are in short supply, prices rise instead of falling in the market, which is in line with the consumer's mentality "to buy up not to buy down".

Analysts point out that as a distribution center for imported cars, the sales of imported cars remains an upward trend. Statistics show that imported cars trading of Beijing in April was 3400, a growth of 9.7%, accounting for 11% of the total new car transactions of this month, of which 70% of the imported cars are sold to other places.

According to the Automobile Association, in May, China's auto manufacturers exported 72,106 vehicles, a growth of 6.79%. Among them, 43,708 passenger car were exported, a growth of 18.24%. Commercial cars were exported 28398 units, an increase of 31.06%.
