Once you are granted with your application for Australian visa, particularly your Australia visitors, why not visit Down Under iconic Ayers Rock?
Visitors to Australias Red Centre, the legendary Ayers Rock, also popularly known as the Uluru or The Rock, will soon be facing a new Uluru vacation experience!
As part of Ayers Rock Resorts major makeover plan to create a new vision for the complex, visitors and guests of the resort will soon be able to play a round of desert golf, be treated in a spa and wellness centre, as well as experience the wonder of a wildlife enclosure.
Australia's premier Outback Resort & Tourist Attraction, Ayers Rock Resort, is Australias largest integrated resort complex that provides a variety of 5 hotel accommodation options for every possible taste and budget from the five-star Sails in the Desert and Australian Tourism Award winning Desert Gardens Hotel, to the Emu Walk Apartments, the modern Lost Camel Hotel, and the authentic Outback Pioneer Hotel Lodge. It also has the Ayers Rock Campground that offers powered campsites and air conditioned cabins.
The gateway to Uluru a large sandstone rock formation in central Australia, in the Northern Territory and one of the oldest rocks on Earth has faced criticism for being rundown.
For two years, it was placed on the market until recently, the property firm GPT Group sold it last October for $300 million to a consortium led by the Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC).
Under its new management, the Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia which manages ILC's tourism activities, they had already built a new conference centre. Furthermore, the flagship Sails in the Desert hotel is undergoing renovation and a new luxury under the stars dining experience called Tali Wiru was introduced.
When ILC bought the resort, this Uluru property had only two indigenous Australian employees out of the 670 staff. Now, it currently employs 51 indigenous Australians as Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia has heard that the main complaint from guests who stay in the hotel is that they do not get to interact with an aboriginal staff.
By 2018, the ILC plans to have at least one in every two or a total of over 300 indigenous Australian employees.
Moreover, as part of its five-year plan, ILC plans to build a children's play and education centre and put up a Welcome to Country ceremony via a large screen in the airport arrivals hall so that passengers on every plane that lands will see it.
Furthermore, in partnership with the world's largest hotel operator, Accor, Ayers Rock Resort has taken a modernistic initiative in taking the iconic resort and tourist attraction to new emerging markets such as China and India as well as maximizing career opportunities for Indigenous Australians employment and development.
According to Accor Australia vice president Simon McGrath, Ayers Rock Resort has been one of Australias greatest tourism assets and a fundamental driver for our inbound industry so it is essential that we reposition the product and attract new markets.
Under the agreement, Accor will provide a full range of services to complement the day to day operation of the Resort. Accor will also lead the way in making plans to open up new markets for the Resort, boost domestic leisure and conference demand, and also work with the Resort in boosting indigenous employment opportunities through its well established Indigenous Employment Program.
Accors aim is to position the resort as the showcase for indigenous tourism in accordance with the resorts overall objective of repositioning the resort as an indigenous centre of excellence, where guests learn about indigenous culture and have some interaction.
So, if you are planning to get visitor visa to Australia or already have a travel visa Australia, visit Ayers Rock Resort and enjoy their new amenities!
