Audi used cars like there TT roadster is a very popular car from this iconic German automaker. The TT model is part of the high end roadster segment of the auto industry. The Audi TT competes against two other famous brands, the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class and the BMW Z3/Z4. These three German automakers dominant this part of the auto industry and are always making improvements to their models every year. With such competition going on between these three big German automakers, my research will be on the Audi TT as a used vehicle to look at.

Even though my research is on the years from 2003 to 2006, I only looked at the 2004 model (there isnt much difference between the models over the years Im doing my research on). The Audi TT is a two door roadster, which comes standard with leather upholstery seats. It also comes with 17 inch wheels and Xenon high intensity head lights. Some of safety features that come with the TT are, anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability control, dual front air backs and head/ chest side air bags just to name a few.

I found a two different fuel statistics for the different engines sizes that the Audi TT as to offer. Audi TT models that had the 1.8-litre engine had a fuel rating of 11.5-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 7.6-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. The other fuel rating was for the 3.2-litre engine and this had a rating of 11-litres, per 100km, for city driving and 8-litres, per 100km, for highway driving. So as you can see the fuel consumption isnt all that bad for the TT.

There are various engine sizes that the Audi TT has to offer over the years from 2003 to 2006. In 2003 the TT had a four cylinder, 1.8-litre engine and this produced 225 horsepower. Then in 2004 the TT introduced a V6, 3.2-litre engine and this had 250 horsepower under the hood. From the years 2003 to 2006 the Audi TT came only in a five or six speed manual transmission and this came in all wheel drive.

Lets look at some of the pros and cons of the Audi TT as a used vehicle:

1- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the TT a five star rating for a side impact crash test done to it.
2-There is a problem with the timing belt and its suggested to change it after 100,000kms.
