Atlanta Thrashers Tickets - So Hot They're Cool!

By:

This years draft picks were Zach Bogosian, Daultan Leveille, Danick Paquette, Vinny Saponari, Nicklas Lasu, Christopher Cardozzi and Zach Redmond. All young spry choices from a number of leagues which included OHL Peterborough and Mississauga St. Michaels, GHL St. Catharines, QMJHL Lewiston, USDP USA U-18, SWE-JR. Frolunda Jr. and CCHA Ferris State. Should be interesting to see Texas-born Redmond take to the ice.

The roster looks well with forwards Colby Armstrong, Eric Boulton, Erik Christensen, Joseph Crabb, Ilya Kovalchuk, Vyacheslave Kozlov, Bryan Little, Eric Perrin, Rich Peverly, marty Reasoner, Jim Slater, Chris Thorburn, and Todd White. Defensemen include Zach Bogosian, Tobias Enstrom, Garnet Exelby, Ron Hainsey, Niclas Havelid, Nathan Oystrick, Mathieu Schneider and Boris Valabik. Goalies in attendance are Johan Hedberg and Kari Lehtonen. With only Exelby on injured reserve, theres strength and safety in the Thrashers numbers.

Safety in numbers or not, the coaches are headed by head coach John Anders, who has already won five championships for the Thrashers in the 13 seasons hes served. Accompanying Anderson on the coaching side are assistant coach randy Cunneyworth, assistant coach Todd Nelson, assistant coach Steve Weeks and video coach Tony Borgford. Training staff on hand includes strength and conditioning coach Ray Bear, head athletic trainer Tommy Alva, assistant athletic trainer Stephen Roberts and massage therapist Inar Treiquts. Equipment staff is represented by head equipment manager Bobby Steward, assistant equipment manager Joe Guilmet and equipment assistant Jim Guilmet.

And what team would be complete without a great medical staff? The Thrashers have doctors Scott Gillogly, William Whaley, Ched Garten, oral surgeon Glenn Maron and dentists Lawrence Saltzman and Brett Silverman. We appreciate you!

Although the winning streak of the Thrashers took a thrashing lately, theres plenty of season time left to see exactly whats what. This month, the Thrasher will have one more game at home against the Islanders and two games away against the Stars and Hurricanes. During February, the Thrasher will host the Devils, Blackhawks, Avalanche and the Hurricanes at home. After that, theyll hit the road and take to the ice against the Rangers, Lightning, Ducks, Kings, Coyotes, Sharks and Capitals in away games.

In March, the Thrashers can bring it on at home in games against the Panthers, Canadiens, Flames, Capitals, Red Wings, Rangers and Senators. Seems more than enough opportunity to pick up that winning streak again and keep it going. On the road during the month, the Thrashers will don the visitor side of the ice against the Avalanche, Oilers, Sabres, Penguins, Lightning and Canadiens.

With the end of the 2008-2009 NHL Season on hand in April, the Thrashers will play most of their games at home against the Sabres, Capitals, Panthers and Lightning. Rounding out the season during the month of April, the Thrashers will take on the Panthers and the Capitals.

With commentary by the players themselves that the recent loss to the Flyers was sloppiness on the part of their own team, fans are expecting better in the future.
