What you see Located on the first floor of Ishanya mall in Pune, Ecoscapes home decor shop looks attractive with its vibrantly colored displays.

What you get - Ecoscapes stocks lamp shades, decorative glass pieces, statues, wall hangings, crockery, artificial flowers, decorative bird cages, decorative tiles, indoor waterfalls and a few kitchen items.

What is different about Ecoscapes is that many of its goods are of sandstone. Wall hangings, lampshades, statues and other decorative pieces made in sandstone have been imported from Bali (Indonesia). Some of the stone hangings have the most simplistic designs to the extent of being almost blank; but the texture and hue give it a classy touch. These cost around Rs. 2,000. Lamp shades are in spherical form with spaces in between to let out the light, giving a coral look to it. They cost Rs. 2,000-3,000.

The most noticeable character of the statues and the wall hangings is that they are inspired by Buddhisim and oriental designs. Buddha statues up to three foot long are available too. All the statues are made of sandstone. Similar statues are also available in the form of waterfalls. Ecoscapes also has limited furniture like sideboards in jute and wood.

Then there are unusually shaped glass pieces displayed against natural light that gives them a very pristine look. From curvaceous glass pieces to one foot long margarita glasses, there is no dearth of variety here. They can be used for keeping fresh flowers or for placing potpourri. They cost Rs. 1,900 onwards.

They have huge pots which can be used for keeping artificial flowers. The stony texture and floral design would surely add an elegant look to your drawing room. These antique looking pieces also cost a couple of thousands.

To spice up your tea time, they have brightly colored tea pots. Bowls in vibrant green, blue and red are also available. An addition to the kitchen items is the collection of paper napkins.

Hanging under a huge pink umbrella are some bird cages and nests as decorative hangings.

Our verdict Ecoscapes manages to keep up the excitement of the customers as they walk in this one room store. There is a wide spectrum of items on the shelf. The goods are assorted and each one is unique in its design. The tastes and prices here are high-end. A lot has been displayed in this small store which reduces the mobility, but a helpful assistant and a cooperative manager can make the visit to Ecoscapes memorable. Parking space is available.
