Article Writing: How To Write Articles That Powerfully Drive Traffic To Your Website

Content is the building block of the entire Internet, all the goods and services are found, bought and sold using the power of content articles. The content is the true value of a website. The more valuable the content is, the more the site is perceived to have value. People are constantly searching for a resource, a place to find good useful information and that is what a good content writer has to give.

Step 1: Decide what you want to write about as a general topic: something broad like cars, boats, medical breakthroughs and the like. Now that you have the general area, it is time to narrow the field to a more specific topic. Research the market for references to your specific topic. You want to zero in on what types of questions are being asked about this area. Check the social networks and forums to get a cross sectional view of what is going on in the minds of the general public.

Step 2: Start brain storming. This is vital. Just free write about the different things you know people are looking for information on.

Step 3: Create your title. The best titles are the "how to's" and "top 10's", " what to avoid" and any other articles of this ilk.

Step 4: Now it is time to begin writing the actual article. If you are writing a "how to" you should begin by listing the steps to completion. Now go back and describe each step in the process using 3-5 sentences.

Step 5: This is where you work on your introduction to the article itself. The basic content article starts with what you are going to tell the public, goes into what you want them to know, then ends with what you told them. Once you have completed the article, the conclusion paragraph should be simple. All you need do is discuss what you just told them.

Proofread your article, checking for grammatical errors, errors in spelling and proper English. Read the article out loud to make certain it reads well. Once you are satisfied leave the article for a day or two. Read it again and have another person give you their opinion of the article.

This, in essence, is all there is to it. All that is left is to create your resource box and to find ways to market your finished product.
