Article Marketing Strategy: Writing The Problem/solution Article

By:

Although writing an article in a specific way may not seem like an article marketing strategy, it really is. The reason is that certain ways of writing an article can help you attract more traffic to your web sites and in turn, get more sales.

This is how the problem/solution article will help you. First, you will be able to show your readers what the problem is. This helps them to identify with you.

Next, you give your readers a taste of how you will solve the problem. This will help them decide whether or not you have the ability to solve their problems. Make your products a solution to your readers' problems, and you will easily make the sale.

Now, here's what you need to do:

1. Define the problem.

What are your reader's problems? Chances are, they have more than one. The first thing you want to do here is to define what those problems are. As it relates to the topic, what was your problem?

You may even want to consider visiting forums or somewhere else where others congregate to discuss your topic. Find out what their problems are. Then create products that solve these problems.

2. Create your solution.

This is a process you should be doing from the beginning. If you are doing this from the beginning, then it will help you more effectively target your market.

The solution you create is the product you have created to solve readers' problems. When you create the solution in your article, you simply give your readers a taste of how you will effectively solve their problems.

3. Write the article.

Once you have defined the problem and solution, outline your article. This includes a beginning, problem, solution, conclusion, and resource box. You may want to use bullet points, steps, or simply list each point and then write two to three sentences to more fully explain it.

It's possible to write these sections of your article in any order. Just make sure you outline first so you stick to the subject.

4. Write your resource box.

This is where you want to point your readers to a fuller solution. In other words, you want to point them to your product or service. You want to offer more information.

Rather than pointing directly to the product though, why not offer some type of freebie that contains additional information but not the whole solution. Draw your readers in carefully. Don't make them feel you are selling to them. You want them to feel that you are providing them valuable information, and the way to do this is through your articles and then at your site.

5. Put your article together.

Create a text file for your article and add all of the elements you need to submit. If you are having to copy and paste these elements you want to set up your text file with the elements in order so they are easy to find.

Most article directories and submission services are laid out as follows:

Title
Summary
Article
Resource Box
Keywords

By putting your article elements in this order, it will make everything easier to find. Now get out there and start submitting those articles.
